Site visit Wee Cottage

A recent site visit to Glencolmkille showed good progress on site. Demolition works are currently underway, with structural underpinning set to begin shortly. Interestingly, the demolition uncovered that the floors had been filled with sand – explaining the structural issues experienced over the years.
A storm at the time of our visit reminded us of the importance of improving the building’s thermal envelope and installing a new heating system. These upgrades will improve comfort and ensure the long-term resilience of the cottage.
